September 2016: A Closer Look At The Hill Country Brew Tour

One of our goals at OffRhodes Craft Beer Tours is to introduce the people of Texas to the wonderful variety of craft beers available right in their hometowns. Each tour visits three local breweries, ending with a stop at a craft beer bar to sample local brews. Let’s take a closer look at one of our most popular tours, the Hill Country Brew Tour.

After a delicious meal at a local eatery, the tour begins with the New Braunfels Brewing Company. First established in 1915 and shut down after Prohibition, the New Braunfels Brewing Company was reborn in 2010 as a craft brewery focused on creativity and innovation. With brews ranging from the lifestyle-based Elemental Series and the new Saur line to the exploratory Fun-damental Series and innovatively-flavored Experimental Series, each trip to the New Braunfels Brewing Company is an adventure.

Our next stop is the ale-focused Middleton Brewing Company. Located in the heart of the Hill Country between Wimberley and San Marcos, Middleton has been serving world class beer in a scenic setting since 2011. Of particular note is its breezy outdoor brewpub located on the roof of the facility.

Finally, the tour visits the Guadalupe Brewing Co, a craft brewhouse right in New Braunfels that uses natural ingredients to produce full flavored, well-balanced craft beer. Their fifteen-step custom brewing system is unlike any other and is a true grand finale to our tour.
